dream 8
we had a baby girl who could speak by the age of 2 months. she was very sweet and never cried, even when we had a party and people kept drunkenly slamming doors to find the toilet. a worrying dream

jotta / intel project 01 - the persistence of memory
beginning a high-definition video triptych based around dali's 'the persistence of memory'.
drawing on the ephemeral and enigmatic qualities in dreaming that dali was inspired by, digital 'paint' will descend, curl into forms, settle into semi-recognisable arrangements before slowly melting offscreen. the effect of watching the three portrait-oriented videos together may be that forms naturally coincide or appear to make sense fleetingly, approximating the brain's own impressive application of logic and authenticity to its own twitching electrical impulses while in a dream-state.

dream7
aerial view of woman lying face down on a rural hill at twilight. lying inside a huge fabric bag, holding onto the rim with the main body extending above her head, almost like lying on the pillow of a huge sleeping bag. then see her speeding across the ground on it, down rocky escarpments and across valleys. wonder why she isn't getting hurt. keep seeing passenger planes in the distance. then she stops at a certain point and a plane arcs towards her, getting very close to the ground. realise she is purposely in the flightpath. when the plane passes just over her the engine suddenly pumps the balloon of her device with hot air and sends her hurtling high up into the air at hundreds of miles per hour. she manages to hold on just with her hands and swoops and flies around.
in a city. strange things happening, lots of altercations with people, huge tension in the air. one boy with powers says he wants to try to help, so we go with a woman to a field and he crouches down. the strange fuzzy dislocated look to the world disappeared and we were happy it was normal again for now

on the surface of solaris
It was like looking at the ruins of an ancient town, a Moroccan city tens of centuries old, convulsed by an earthquake or some other disaster. I made out a tangled web of winding sidestreets choked with debris, and alleyways which fell abruptly towards the oily foam that floated close to the shore. In the middle distance, great battlements stood intact, sustained by ossified buttresses. There were dark openings in the swollen, sunken walls — traces of windows or loop-holes. The whole of this floating town canted to one side or another like a foundering ship, pitched and turned slowly, and the sun cast continually moving shadows, which crept among the ruined alleys. Now and again a polished surface caught and reflected the light.
